We are finding that cleaning up the moorland and encouraging natural re-growth is already bringing people back to enjoy this area of open moorland for informal recreation. Walkers, horse riders, model aircraft fliers and cyclists are increasing the use of the moor for recreation which also helps to keep tippers at bay. It is no longer a neglected, spoiled piece of moorland. We are reclaiming it for people and for wildlife.
If you see rubbish being tipped, or find recently dumped rubbish please report it as soon as possible to Calderdale Environmental Health 01422 – 392330.
