Recreation

It is important for everyone to have access to solitude and open space. The biggest recreational use of Todmorden Moor is walking - not just the dedicated ramblers, but also people taking the dog for a walk, going with the family to look at the view or getting away for a bit of peace and quiet.

Other quiet recreational activities are kite soaring, the occasional hang glider and model aeroplane flying. There is also horse riding, bird watching and, at night, badger watching.
